The Korea·World Chinese Entrepreneurs Business Week 2020 will be held in November 12-14 in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province. This event will serve as a good chance to make a new leap forward amid the COVID-19 crisis.

KWCE Business Week 2020, which is a B2B event aimed to promote networking and trade between global Chinese enterprises and Korean companies, will be held using an online platform called KWCE.net due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s Business Week, hosted by South Gyeongsang Province, Changwon City, KCCCI and KBCCCI, and sponsored by the Presidential Committee on New Southern Policy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, will serve as a government-back event associated with New Southern Policy and the promotion of “Brand K,” which makes the occasion more meaningful.

Also, this event is in the spotlight because during the persistent COVID-19 crisis, it will provide domestic companies with business opportunities to expand export markets, attract foreign investment, and promote personal and technological exchanges with Chinese enterprises which have dominated the ASEAN market.

KWCE.net and Oasis as Interaction Channels

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event will be held using an online B2B platform “KWCE.net” and an online PR platform “Oasis.”

The KWCE.net is an online exhibition platform which is comprised of Global Chinese Enterprises section, Local Governments section and Industries section, providing a quick, at-a-glance view of global Chinese enterprises and major Korean companies. It also supports individual matching through business programs. The database of Chinese enterprises and Korean companies collected through KWCE.net will utilized for business exchanges even after the event and will remain as valuable assets for Korea and Chinese enterprises.

The Oasis is a large studio built using the country’s ICT technologies. This platform will present the opening and closing ceremonies, and many other programs, including Leaders Forum that will suggest a future vision for mutual prosperity of Korea and global Chinese enterprises in the post-COVID-19 era.

It will also create a huge PR showroom as a venue to promote products and technologies from over 70 Korean companies and to introduce Chinese Chambers of Commerce around the world and major Chinese enterprises from each country, helping better understand with each other.

The PR showroom will feature Korea’s major products from small and medium-sized products to medium and large-sized mobility through online real-time broadcasting, and demonstrate the country’s diverse industries and ICT capability to the world through its streaming platform.

KWCE.net and Oasis, the two online platforms introduced by Changwon City will not only help major exporters overcome challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic but also suggest a new business model during these difficult times when social distancing has become a new normal.
