Korea-World Chinese Entrepreneurs Business Week, Joining Hands with WayV!

Chinese popular idol group WayV designated as K·WCEB 2020 Ambassador

 

Chinese popular idol group WayV has been selected as the ambassador of Korea-World Chinese Entrepreneurs Business Week, which will be held in Changwon, Korea, from November 12 to 14, and will be playing a role of ‘business cupid’ introducing Korean companies to Chinese entrepreneurs, and vice versa.

 

Changwon City (Mayor Huh Sung-moo) is currently pursuing to host the ‘Korea·World Chinese Entrepreneurs Business Week 2020 (K·WCEB 2020)’ to strengthen international exchange and explore ways to enter global markets and attract investment in the era with COVID-19. And on October 20, it announced the designation of WayV as K·WCEB 2020 ambassador at COEX, Seoul where all members of the popular Chinese idol group attended.

 

Changwon City is preparing for a successful K·WCEB 2020 in partnership with the Korean government to overcome the economic crisis triggered by COVID-19 by building trust and expanding trade between Korean companies and Chinese entrepreneurs. And WayV, an idol group popular in Mainland China as well as the Greater China region, was designated as ambassador to introduce Changwon and Korean companies to Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide and to create opportunities for exchange.

 

WayV is a China-based boy group of 7 members of the Korean popular boy group NCT managed by SM Entertainment. All members are from the Greater China region and has gained amazing popularity in China with their first mini album ‘Take Off’, released in May 2019, recording No. 1 on QQ MUSIC and No. 1 on the iTunes chart in 30 countries.

 

At the appointment ceremony held on October 20, Changwon City Mayor Huh Sung-moo presented on the overall K·WCEB 2020 event and the importance of promoting the event along with WayV members and guests. He then delivered ambassador business cards to the entire member of WayV. True to their role as ambassadors, WayV members took various photos and videos and shared their commitment to actively promote K·WCEB 2020 during their overseas activities.

 

Huh Sung-moo, Mayor of Changwon City, said “WayV members who are from various regions across Greater China are growing as the best idol group as part of Korea’s best entertainment agency. They are a success case of a cultural exchange between Greater China and Korea” and added, “I look forward to success stories just like WayV in our economic areas as well based on various exchange and collaboration between Chinese entrepreneurs and Korean companies by WayV actively promoting K·WCEB 2020 to Chinese entrepreneurs across the globe.”
